Naturvermittlung Pielach-Mühlau

Als Anknüpfung zum Projekt „Pielach Mühlau – Naturschätze bewusst erleben“ in der Gemeinde Hafnerbach ist ein weiteres Projekt zur Stärkung der Umweltbildung geplant. Dabei soll die Natur vor der Haustüre bewusst erlebt und achtsames Verhalten in der Natur vermittelt werden.

Der Kultur- und Tourismusverein Hafnerbach und die Gemeinde Hafnerbach haben sich ein großes Ziel gesetzt: Im Erdgeschoss der Volksschule Hafnerbach entsteht das neue Forum.Hafnerbach, ein offener Raum und ein Kommunikationszentrum für den Ort und darüber hinaus.

Juni war Klima-Monat: Webinare zum Nachschauen

Immer montags zur Primetime organisierte die KLAR!-Region Wachau-Dunkelsteinerwald-Jauerling vier Webinare zu den Themen Acker und Humusaufbau, ökologische Waldbewirtschaftung, klimafitte Gärten und Klimawandelanpassung im Tourismus. Die Video-Aufzeichnungen und Zusatzinformationen sind nun online abrufbar.

Musikimpuls Dunkelsteinerwald - Kick-off and setup

Preparations for the joint advertising of several municipalities together with Göttweig Abbey for the Provincial Exhibition in 2023 were already on the way when the one-year delay to the event was announced. The opportunity should now be taken to restructure this initiative. The central topic – “Music” – is intended to connect the participating municipalities and reinforce the sense of regional identity. The large collection of musical publications in Göttweig Abbey offers the possibility to do some academical research on the region’s music and allow it to flow into the initiative.

Exonomy exhibition "Dunkelsteiner Erlebnisschau 2019-plus"

Following on from the success of the last two exhibitions, the event will be organised again in spring 2019. This time, the event will be held in Haunoldstein. Given the regional interrelationships, companies from the municipalities of Loosdorf, Markersdorf-Haindorf and St. Margarethen/Sierning will be invited to present themselves. A varied supporting programme will provide an additional attraction and round off the event.

Pielach-Mühlau: Consciously experiencing natural treasures

The Pielach-Mühlau conservation area in the municipal district of Hafnerbach is one of nature’s true jewels. The wild river landscape is an area of retreat for many species of animal and vital to their survival. Excursions, campaigns involving schoolchildren and targeted public relations work are intended to create the necessary sensitisation and put the protection of these habitats on a secure and lasting footing.

Energy Hiking Trail Hafnerbach

With the support of its members, the Hafnerbach Energy Group defined green energy generation sites in the municipality, combined them into an energy hiking trail and also designed and implemented information portals. The trail was opened as part of a hiking day.

Development of a cultural tourism strategy for the south bank of the Wachau

The municipalities of Mautern, Bergern, Furth, Rossatz-Arnsdorf and Schönbühel-Aggsbach will be intensifying their collaboration over the coming years and focusing on the common positioning of the south bank. Under the direction of Martin Vogg, who was previously responsible for the project Wachau 2010 plus, existing offers should be combined with new ones and wrapped up into bookable packages, starting with the two locations of Maria Langegg and the Aggsbach Charterhouse.

Danube Crossing at Aggsbach: Feasibility

One topic that has preoccupied the region for many years is the lack of a crossing over the Danube between Melk and Spitz near the towns of Aggsbach-Markt and Aggsbach-Dorf. After several unsuccessful attempts to set up a conventional bicycle ferry between them, the two towns are now pursuing an unconventional approach: in the future, they could be connected by a cableway across the Danube.
